It’s been a while since I was able to sit down and post here, but a few things in my life have finally settled down and I’m back!
I’ve recently been able to get back in the habit of going to the library and I’m trying to read a book a week this year. So far, goodreads declares me to be on track. I just finished Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian, which I thoroughly enjoyed and now I’m plowing through Prayer by Timothy Keller. I enjoyed the first and I think I’m getting a lot out of the second. I’ll put more thoughts up on my reads going forward, but that’s what I’m up to at the moment.
For the second part of my blog, today I finally was able to buy a squat rack! I’ve had a barbell and a few weights for a few months now, but the squat rack just puts things on a different level. When I’m feeling tired and worn out, for some reason the idea of lifting the bar before I start squatting just makes it seem more intimidating.
It makes no sense, I know, but for some reason it seems easier to go work out when the bar is on a rack.
My goals for this month are to be more regular here and share what I’m reading and maybe throw out a few ideas for some good summer books. I’ll also be trying to get back into the habit of working out and maybe…even…go for a run. Maybe.
Also, I’m wrapping up a couple projects that I’m hoping to be able to share here in the next couple of months, so I’ll also be working on that.
